Generation BMX is a documentary series currently in production by New York filmmaker and photographer Emon Hassan.
The series focuses on untold stories of BMX (Bicycle Motocross) and the evolution of the sport since its inception in California. Episodes of the series will showcase historical influencers, today's riders, underground scenes, lost visuals, and the unsung heroes of BMX.
Emon Hassan is a New York-based director, photographer and producer. A frequent contributor to The New York Times, his work has appeared in Narratively, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Guitar Player, BBC, PBS, WNYC and more.
Emon is the Founder of Handsome Crow, a media and production company. Generation BMX is being produced under that banner.
Emon is a Member-at-Large at the Producers Guild of America East, and its Chair of First Look Documentary Screening Series.
